| László Marton’s international directing career started in 1974, staging the Hungarian musical success, An Imaginary Report on an American Pop Festival in Weimar, Germany. Also he directed in Helsinki, Finnland, for three times and twice in Detmold, Germany. In the United States Mr Marton has been a regular guest director at the Actor's Theatre of Louisville and also the Chicago Court Theatre has invited him to direct for them for three times, earning huge successes with his productions. The New Mexican Santa Fe Stages has hosted him twice. He also directed four times in the Habima Theatre of Tel Aviv, Israel, as the first guest director from Hungary and his work there lists him among the most outstanding directors of the 20th century. His Canadian works has included several productions for the Masterclass Theatre in Toronto (his production of Chekhov’s Three Sisters won the Dora Award for best production in 1992) and for the Soulpepper Theatre. | ||
